Your (semi-) Daily Dose of Reality v.2.9.12

(hey, at least it was less than a week in between posts this time…)

* – look, I prefer Ford over Chevy myself, but in this case I gotta say, hey, Ford – put on some big-boy pants, huh?

* – remember the movie Runaway?

Yeah, well, it looks like fiction is becoming reality.

* – CNN personality Roland Martin’s Super Bowl tweets = smooth move, Ex-lax!

* – one of the better articles I’ve read in quite some time.

* – thank you, Senator Paul, for the sentiment, but the bottom line is that we don’t need your law, any more than we needed the President’s promise to do something similar in his SotU speech a while ago.

Newsflash, you dopes – IT’S ALREADY ILLEGAL FOR POLITICIANS TO BE INVOLVED IN INSIDER TRADING!!! Why? Because they’re U.S. citiziens, and it’s against American law to do it, regardless of what your occupation is! Instead of writing new laws, how about you enforce the ones that already fucking exist?!

OY!

* – this would be an excellent example of part of what’s wrong with the current education system.

* – this doesn’t help, either.

* – interesting video here from Planned Parenthood. Watch and make up your own mind:

* – more fun from OWS in Oakland.

* – and New York.

* – “We don’t like that rule.” Oh, I’m sorry, Miss OWS idiot, I didn’t realize that if one doesn’t like the rules then one doesn’t have to follow the rules.

That’s called anarchy, you twit, and it never ends well. Do some research. Look up your history.

Moron.

If you think a rule or law is unfair or unjust, or unnecessary, then by all means let’s have that conversation, but until that conversation is had and a decision results from it one way or the other, you still have to follow the rules, just like everybody else, ok?

Now go make sure Mommy pats you on your widdle head and tucks your precious little snowflake self in to beddy-bye before you fall asleep in her basement.

* – Tea Party v Occupy Wall Street. Yeah, let’s see how this pans out…

  1. I really like Runaway for a number of reasons, not the least of which is Cynthia Rhodes. She’s the queen of the hottest forgotten babes of the ’80s. Seen her before? She’s the red-dressed dancer in the video for Toto’s “Rosanna.” She sang lead in Animotion after Astrid Plane’s departure (including on the hit single “Room to Move”). Finally, she has been Mrs. Richard Marx for many years.
