Your (semi-) Daily Dose of Reality v.12.17.11

* – three very good reasons!:

* – Ok, I know finals are stressful and all (remember, I have both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s, so I’ve been there), but, seriously?:

Girlfriend, really – either cut back on the Starbucks, or at least go decaf, ok?

* – yes, they really are going to make a sequel to Top Gun.

* – maybe I need to go back to watching SNL. 🙂

* – memo to Senator Ted Lieu (D. – CA.): Lowe’s has the right to deicide how to spend their advertising dollars however they see fit, whether you like it or not. As much as you may wish it did, the federal government does NOT have the right to tell Lowe’s – or any other private business – how to do business via legislation.

Understood?

Good.

Now kindly go fuck off until you get voted out of office.

* – ok, this is more than a little scary to me on a very personal level.

I used to work in that mall. I used to work in that Kay’s Jewelers. I have friends who still work in that mall and that Kay’s Jewelers.

* – they better not!

* – classy, Libs, real classy.

I still don’t get this hatred of Tebow. It’s not like he’s the first pro athlete to ever thank God or Jesus for his success during the interview. WTF?

* – hell (pardon the pun 🙂 ), even Jews and Muslims are defending Tebow.

* – even more class (thought at least MSNBC had the decency to apologize later).

* – my opinion of Adam Carolla is still growing…

* – I think there’s some new music out there I need to check out…

* – you wanna know why higher education costs so much nowadays? Well, at least one reason has to be shit like this.

AYFKM?!

* – OMG!

And the Left has the gall to call us fearmongers?!

* – have you heard about the Defense Authorization Act of 2012?

Scary shit.

And you Bush-haters thought the Patriot Act and Gitmo was bad?

* – I’m going to have to disagree with Allen West about the DAA.

* – more Climategate 2.0 goodness.

* – should conservatives be for Obamacare?

* –

* – more brilliance from DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schulz.

Here are the facts: when Obama took office in January of ’09 unemployment was at 7.8%. He told us if the stimulus plan was passed unemployment would not exceed 8%. Unemployment peaked at 10.1% in October of ’09. Unemployment stayed well above 9% for all of 2010. It briefly dropped barely below 9% for February and March of 2011. It dropped to 8.6% in November of 2001, its lowest rate since March of ’09.

But this perpetuator of the dumb blonde stereotype believes that our “narrative” just doesn’t work anymore? Really?

* – as hard as it may be to believe, I think Harry Reid might even be more stupid.

* – and after this bit I think the president is even more stupid than Harry.

* – slick, B.O., real slick (about 55 seconds in):

* – I am so sick and tired of this Liberal propensity for trying to redefine clearly understood words on the fly, just to suit their needs. Remember Bill Clinton and “It depends what the definition of ‘is’ is”? I remember having a conversation with someone about Glenn Beck and saying to them, “So, you think he’s a liar?” Their response? “Well, define what you mean by ‘liar.'”

Huh?

Now you get this shit from Eric Holder.

Fucking kill me.

* – why did they even ask Obama this question?

They knew the answer wasn’t going to be “yes,” so why bother? If you already know the answer to the question, don’t bother asking it.

* – yes, Mr. President, yes, you did.

* – you’ll forgive me if I view the effort to recall Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker with more than a little scepticism.

* – hey, Al Sharpton – before you tell me or anybody else that we should pay more in taxes, how about you pay your own, huh?

* – if OWS is going to protest anything, they should be protesting shit like this.

Strangely enough, though, I don’t hear them complaining about Nancy Pelosi, do you?

* – Charlotte, NC is the site of the Democratic National Convention next summer. So what’s one of the things that city is doing in preparation?

Getting ready to pass a bill that would essentially ban an OWS movement from coming anywhere near the convention.

Interesting…

* – ah, the peace, joy, and love that comes with an OWS protest.

* – “Occupiers” could learn a lot from this woman.

* – how seasonally appropriate:

* – ah, yes – the nanny-state at Christmastime.

* – oh, goody – more Christmas nanny-statism!
