J.A.R.M. v.7.5.10

* – a belated Happy Fourth of July to one and all, and a belated Happy Birthday to the United States of America.

* – speaking of which, I read a blog post quite recently in which the author was bitching about the lack of respect our national anthem seems to be getting lately – people not singing along with it, a flavor-of-the-month pop star butchering it with his/her/its interpertation of it – that sort of thing.

And yet this individual is a die-hard Obama fan:

Just sayin’…

* –

Now, anybody have any questions as to why the Pledge of Allegiance should be said in school?

* – 100 great things about America.

* – maybe there’s hope for this country’s next generation, after all.

* – I’ve had a number of conversations with a number of different people about who should play Wonder Woman if they ever get around to making a live-action movie of her. The main theme always seems to be that any actress who has the right look doesn’t have the acting chops (like Megan Fox), and anybody who has the talent doesn’t have the look (like Sandra Bullock).

Then, the other night as I was having this conversation with Cookiemaker, it dawned on me – why not Monica Bellucci?

* – oh, speaking of WW, she’s getting a makeover. Meh.

* – this is the new Spiderman? Meh.

* – Conan the Barbarian – the musical.

* – there are smart porn stars?

* – this is the kind of culture we’ve become – we can now run a business based on helping people cheat on their spouses. Great.

* – the most iconic swimsuits of all time? You be the judge (don’t worry ladies, there are some guys in here, too).

* – Verizon Wireless will carry the iPhone starting in January? I’ll believe it when I see it.

* – let’s talk racism for a moment, shall we? Does it exist in this country? Sadly, yes, it does. Should we constantly be vigilant against it and try to eradicate it wherever we find it? Yes, we should. Will we ever completely eradicate it? No, we won’t, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to. All that being said, however, we need to concentrate on the real racism out there, not the bullshit faux racism that people like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, Henry Louis Gates, and Jeremiah Wright trot out at every opportunity. Check this shit out:

Are you fucking kidding me? Really? These people are an embarassment to their culture. People who have been victims of true racism should be pulling these schmucks aside and bitch-slapping them ’till they wail like the little spoiled brats they are. These “victims” have never experienced real racism, at least not as far as I can tell. They’ve never been considered property. They’ve never been forced to do hard labor while a whip lashes across their back. They’ve never been threatened with a lynching. They’ve never been denied anything because of the color of their skin.

What they have been doing, based on these videos, is the exact opposite of what they’re ostensibly hoping for by acting like this. They’re not shining a light on the hidden racism in this country – they’re trivializing the real racism in this country. Every time one of these idiots whines about black holes and greeting cards they’re engaging in cry-wolf racism, making the vast majority of the people who hear them just roll their eyes, tune the little brats out, and care just that little bit less about racism.

Somebody please, please either wake these morons up or shut them up – preferably both.

* – oh, I’m sorry, Senator Franken, are we boring you? Don’t worry about it – here, why don’t you just enjoy a little nappy-time? Can we get you a blankie? It’s just a Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearing.

* – Obama’s the 15th best president this country’s ever had?! AYFKM?!

* – wait a minute, I thought I, a middle-class kinda guy, didn’t have to worry about new taxes?

* – wait a minute, I thought Obamacare was supposed to make the health care industry more efficient?

* – wait a minute, I thought Obamacare was supposed to make health care more affordable?

* – hey, yeah, how’s that transparency working out for ya?

The more and more I see this stuff from this guy, the more and more I’m reminded of this scene from Malcolm X:

* – any of you Libs suffering from D.E. yet? You should be.

* – I’ll leave you with a couple of political cartoons:

  1. I’d pay the girls real money if they actually did that….
