How Do You Say “Bow-Chicka-Wow-Wow” In Chinese?
January 7, 2008 by nhfalcon
The last few days before Christmas my boss was kind enough to keep the staff well fed with Chinese food. Buckets and buckets of the stuff. We’ll probably all wind up in the hospital with MSG poisoning sometime soon. As with all Chinese resaurants (seemingly), the one my boss got all this food from loaded us up with fortunes cookies.
Long ago I was told about the ritual involving reading the fortunes from fortune cookies. We’re all familiar with this game, right? No matter what the fortune says, add the words “in bed” at the end of it. It usually gives the fortune a whole new meaning. I submit the following examples…
“If your desires are not extravagant, they will be granted”… in bed.
“He who hurries cannot walk with dignity”… in bed.
“Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life”… in bed.
“The current year will bring you much happiness”… in bed. (are you paying attention to that one, Cookiemaker?
)
“You have a natural grace and great consideration for others”… in bed. (just ask Cookiemaker
)
I bet you’ll never read another fortune cookie fortune the same way again!

This is all well and good until you go out to Chinese food with your in-laws. Ask me how I know…
Oooh, another story involving the Matriarchal Chili! Do tell!
